Do you need card credit help?  Are credit card bills swallowing you up at the end of each and every month.  What are your options in this stagnate economy?

If your credit is still in good shape, you need to protect it and maintain its good rating.  It’s very easy to destroy good credit when you have more debt and bills than you have money coming in.  Many people today are faced with this dilemma.  If your credit is in good shape, then getting a consolidation loan or working out a solution with your credit card companies will be much easier than if you have bad credit or credit that is starting down a slippery slope.

Since credit cards are considered unsecured loans, meaning there is no collateral attached to the loan, should you fail at repaying this loan, the credit card company can not take away your home or car, etc..  Yes, credit cards are loans.  You are buying products on the bank or store’s credit with the intention of paying it back in full at some point.  They are loaning you the money to purchase those items and you can use them until you pay the bank or store off in monthly installments.

One option that many people are considering these days is a debt consolidation loan.  Many debt consolidation loans are tied to collateral, such as a home, property, automobile that is paid off, boat, etc.  Each company has different rules and requirements to obtain the loan and pay it off.  You will want to check with each agencies and ask for specific requirements for the loan.  Read the fine print.  If you do not understand the loan documents, please seek the advice of an attorney or financial advisor.

Others are contacting each and every credit card company and negotiating the interest rate, the monthly payment and the fees attached the card.  The better standing you have with that company, the more likely they will be to negotiate with you.  I would recommend you speak directly with a supervisor, because only they will be able to work out a plan.  Also, always get everything in writing.  Have them email you or fax you a revised schedule for your card, so that you have proof of your agreement.
